The Refuge de Frience is a great restaurant to start / end the walk.

 

There are also nice walks direct from the apartment. A walk to Huomoz (below Chesieres) is very pleasant.

 

For a special evening meal out, the restaurant at Solalex  Le Miroir d'Argentine is very good. The waiter gives a bit of a show. He draws the menu in front of you. Nice for the kids as well. The food is very good but it is expensive. Need to book.  (Tel: 024 498 14 46)

 

(For an ordinary meal out there is a pasta place (Pasta Basta) 400 m down the road from the apartment.)

 

Olympic museum Lausanne is well done if you have interest.

 

There is a tree adventure place at Aigle (Arbre Adventure). Adults to if you like.

 

The spa at Lavez Les Bains is a must do for me every year. Works well for kids and adults. Indoor & outdoor pools (with amazing mountain views). There are lots of different rooms, steam rooms, relaxation rooms, as well as an ice room you can sit in !

If you fancy a boat trip a round trip on a the ferry on lake Geneva is a nice way to spend a few hours. You can get the ferry at Villeneuve.

At Le Bouveret there is a water park (flumes etc). Next door is a more sedate outdoor pool in a park which goes right up to the lake. So you can sunbath on the grass and bathe in lake Geneva.  Pictures on the website:

 

There is a labyrinthe (near to Lavez le Bains) which claims to be the largest in the world. Also has lots of games activities good for all kids.

If you like to go carting there is an indoor / outdoor carting track at Fun Planet near Villeneuve.
